We offer a number of on-site school programs here at Morrell. Our School Programs are designed to encourage a sense of wonder and connection to nature by
introducing children to the native plants and animals of Coastal Vancouver Island. All our programs are run by our trained team of volunteer Nature Interpreters.

NATURE WALK - EXPLORING THE
FOREST
All Year - Gr. 3-12 This program provides a study of Coastal Douglas-fir ecosystem zone and the relationship between plants, animals and non-living factors. Walk-in — 2 hours — $65SEEDS & SPORES
Fall - Gr. K-2 Students will be introduced to seasonal changes affecting plant life cycles. The focus will be on the characteristics of the different plants producing seeds and spores in our forest, and the interconnection of animals and plants in the environment. LIFE IN THE POND
Spring - Gr. K-5 Students will observe plants/animals by dipping and collecting specimens from the pond. Life-cycles, adaptations, and identification will be discussed. K-1 Drive-in - 1.5 hours - $60 Gr 2 & up Walk-in - 2 hours - $65FOREST DETECTIVES
All Year - Gr. 1-3 Students will search for signs of biodiversity in the forest community, utilizing observation, investigation and deduction skills. Grade 1 - Drive-in — 1.5 hours — $60 Grade 2 & 3 - Walk-in - 2 hours - $65EXPLORING NATURE
